Bucks New University launches course to help creative entrepreneurs
Do you have a creative skill or idea that you want to turn into a successful business or freelance career, but are concerned about how to go about it?
Well, Bucks New University are launching a new programme for people who want to turn a creative talent into a thriving business.
Taught at the new High Wycombe Gateway Building, the part time course will consist of practical workshops covering:
Why your idea could be a viable business
How to market the idea, and yourself, both on and offline
How to raise funds and managing your financial resources
What to do about securing intellectual property rights
When to outsource, how to network
When stay as solo, when to grow - assessing success and what to do next
Taught by industry experts, with access to leading local and national creative business networks, with advice from the Industry, you will also be supported by access to online material resources, and that will offer you the chance to network with others in the sector.
The course starts on January 15th 2010 and enables anyone who completes it to receive an award from the University based upon successful submission of business and financial plans, so that they can be used as practical help to develop the business.
