BACKGROUND: The creative industries in Wycombe District generate considerable revenue and provide many employment and skills development opportunities. Against the backdrop of uncertain times, it is crucial that employers and service providers work together to actively promote the district as a credible global destination for creative business. With our excellent location and the Olympics looming, much can be done to put Wycombe on the world stage. Creative industries and enterprise have a fundamental part to play in this endeavour. Creative Wycombe is a new initiative to build a connected community for companies, organisations and individuals operating in the area of creative industries and creative enterprise in Wycombe District. Creative Wycombe will act as proof that the district has a proud heritage in creativity that warrants a serious and considered promotion of the creative industries and talent now and into the future.
